Healthy Water has successfully provided
this high level of protection & service for the Sydney Stock
Exchange, Energy Australia, Century Towers Apartments, The Boulevard
Hotel and many other buildings in and around Sydney. Our technical
competency and ability to get the job done can be supported by prominent
Hydraulic and Fire Engineers Warren Smith & Partners
in Sydney or Simon Matthew from Donnelly Cleary Engineers at Lindfield.
Australia's largest electricity supply
company central administration offices.
This
1950's building was an extensive refurbishment project undertaken
by the customer during 1995 - 1997.
The project's brief to Healthy Water was
to completely eliminate sediment solids entering the drinking water
tanks on the roof coming in from the mains water supply, before
entering the fire and flushing tanks, to save cost on 2 years of
the 30 years old galvanised tank which was beginning to deteriorate
noticeably.
We did this with a single sediment separator
at tank level and provided further filtration on each level of the
building's community kitchenettes from the aging pipe distribution
pipelines in the building.
Total cost on completion:
$ 27,000.00 annual maintenance cost approximately $4,500.00.
Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW Australia.
The
largest twin tower apartments in the southern hemisphere at the
time of its construction in 1997. At full occupancy - 3,500 people.
During the mid construction phase the project's hydraulic &
fire services engineers Warren Smith & Partners, gave us the
specification brief for reticulated water service supply asked for
the total sediment removal and protection from Cryptosporidium and
Giardia for the entire complex.
We designed a dual separator system with
in-built bypass for maintenance, water inflow was calibrated at
18 litres per second. Using 1 micron poly pleat filter cartridges
(60 degrees temp limit) in electro polished 304 stainless steel
dual housings, we reduced rust/sand sediments by 99.894% extending
the cleaning of the 120,000 litre drinking water tanks on the roof
by 9 years, maintenance cost saving of $36,000 over that period.
At the same time we completely eliminated
the potential for bacterial & chlorine contamination at the
point of entry to the complex.
This system is similar to one which would
be used for a small municipal water supply in a country town suppling
up to 4,000 people with treated drinking water.
Total cost including installation:
$16,000.00 Annual maintenance cost provided by HEALTHY WATER including
labour, twice per annum $1,150.00.
